Model Plan：Behind the Secrets of Ninja:Spiritual Energy
Day 1
12:00– Arrive at Iga-Ueno Station (or enter Iga City by hire car from Osaka or Kyoto)
Enjoy a delicious Iga beef lunch at the restaurant (vegetarian meals and other options available).
13:30 – Enjoy a stroll around the castle town of Ueno. Get a guided tour at the following stops:
- Sugawara Shrine Ueno Tenmangu Shrine (Introduction to Ueno Tenjinsai and visiting the shrine)
- Japanese sweets shop Benibaya (for a sweet treat after a meal)
- Murai Bankoen (Take a break with tea and sweets, and be shown around the store’s attractions)
- Enjoy a café break in a room not open to the public at Nishimachi Yakkan Enjoy an Iga beef lunch at Moritsuji Restaurant (meals and ideas for vegetarians available)
15:00 – Drive to the Iga Denshokan Museum. If you have time, you can visit the museum to see the braided cord crafts.
Experience braiding with a traditional craftsman at Matsushima Kumihimo, which blends into the Satoyama landscape.
15:30 –Change into ninja costumes at Danjiri Hall and walk to the park。
We will stop in front of Ueno Castle for a photo opportunity and then be shown around the tallest stone wall in Japan.
16:00(16:30 depending on the season) – Special tour of the Ninja Museum after closing time begins
- An introductory guide to ninjas
- Tour of the exhibition room and explanation of the real life and daily life of ninjas
- Introduction to the Trick House (not a normal explanation, but an original guide with surprises)
- A special private show by Ashura
- After the show, you can touch the weapons and experience them under the guidance of an Ashura.
18:30 – We drove to the Nipponia Nozaki residence and checked in.
Day 2
10:00 – Enjoy a special ninja experience program at Iga’s rural mountain village homestay Ubusuna
- Learn the essence and basic skills of ninjutsu in an indoor dojo
- Enjoy a clay pot lunch unique to a farmer’s home
- Climb the ruins of a nearby castle and try your hand at ninja training
15:30 – Take a break at the traditional Japanese cafe 365nichi
16:30~17:00 –Travel by car to Iga-Ueno Station (or travel to Kansai by hire car)
